Well designed, right sized product.
Well designed, right sized product for the short or long travel if you pack light and efficiently. only thing I would like to see would be a couple hooks hanging on the inside of the bag on short straps so that you could attach items that you want to find rapidly, so they couldnt shift around and settle in the bag... great bag for the money and purpose

Not the greatest
If you're a male of average to large size and will carry a moderate size load, this bag is not for you.First problem is with the straps. The padding on the straps are probably about 4-5 inches too short so the unpadded portion will be digging into you. Also the stitching on the end of the straps that prevent it from coming undone are are too small. So if you looen them at heir max, it's almost impossible to pull it taut without removing the bag from your back. In general the straps are short. So if you have a moderate to large size chest and shoulders, this thing will feel tight at it's loosest. The stitching in general isn't very strong. I had maybe 12 lbs of stuff in it and when I picked it up by the hand strap it began to tear.Overall, it's pretty water resistant. The ergonomics are terrible as is the quality of the stitching.

I bought this pack about 8 months ago.
I bought this pack about 8 months ago to replace a Walmart camping pack that now lies at the bottom of Lake Erie. Typically, on my kayak/canoe/powerboat adventures I would use the aforementioned pack loaded with gear I wasn't concerned about keeping dry and carry a drybag or two for the rest. I decided to try this guy out due to the many options for attaching peripherals and side pockets. I've yet to use this in the traditional camping situation, but my girl has thrown me out twice and I have lived out of this thing with great success. I'm a landscape designer that goes out and helps on jobs a lot when it's slow in the office and this has been an excellent lunch box/day pack that keeps my food safe and a clean change of clothes dry. Within minutes it's my gym bag, fitting my dirty gym clothes and wet swim trunks in the side pockets. Today I jammed all my dirty laundry in a garbage bag inside this thing, walked a mile to the bus stop, took the bus downtown and did my laundry. It poured down raining the whole way back, but in the two hours it to get back to the boat my clean laundry was still warm and dry inside, despite me being soaked. It rolls over and closes easy, wears very comfy whether you use the waist and chest straps or just one-shoulder it. It's the perfect backpack, in my opinion. I can attach my keys and a gallon of water to when I'm on the job. A survival knife and trauma kit in the wild. Despite all I've put it through, it's still clean and kinda' stylish if I'm running downtown. It's stood up through a lot and I haven't even taken it camping yet.
