This worked great on my backpacking trips. My backpack never got wet. This cover is also super light. Coupled with Gear Out Here's drybags, your backpack will be impervious to any water-related issues. With the success of this backpack cover, now I am getting their SIL tarp as well. (made with the same lightweight material) If you want to bomb proof all of your outdoor gears, don't look any further, check out Gear Out Here.

Tough Custard
I took this pack cover on the Long Trail and continued on down to Georgia on the Appalachian Trail. This was the perfect size for my set up. I kept my sleeping bag on top of my pack and under this cover, it was NEVER SOAKED like everyone else-maybe the slightest bit of damp at times. This cover is very decent! Any holes gained could be patched by some duct tape. Love it love it. Also if you're lazy you can keep it on at all times and use it as extra storage for a coat, hat, pant legs when you warm up. Thing lasted 1,869 miles and still has some life in it!

I liked this rain cover
I liked this rain cover, but it got ripped by a taxi driver yanking my covered pack from the back seat of a car. It caught on a metal lever and ripped. Overall, I think it held up likely as much as almost any other cover would, but I would have preferred a cover that was able to withstand a bit more abuse.

Leaches green dye
It got dirty so I soaked it in a tub of water. After draining the water, there was green dye all over the tub. The dye did not permanently stain anything, so I'm still using the cover. It seems to work well at keeping my pack dry.
