Some notes about this rain cover after deciding on it over the many other, less expensive options available here on Amazon. Size small fits without problem an Osprey Talon 22 and a Tom Bihn Western Flyer. Both are daypacks. The Talon 22, at about 22' long and 11' wide, has a 'proper' hiking suspension design while the Western Flyer, at about 18'x11'x9' and is more of a boxy air-travel carry-on bag/backpack without hip/waist support. It covers both with some inches to spare, so it could still cover somewhat larger bags. On these bags the cinch-able shock cord at its loosest already has great grip around both and the cover fits both well without the look of excess loose material. The Talon has an adjustable suspension system whereby the harness is attached a couple inches lower than the top of the bag. This allows the cover to wrap around the top of the bag for a great grip. The slik clips are perfectly positioned to clip to the bottom of the shoulder straps where they meet the hipbelt. The minimal instructions with the cover imply the slik clips attach at the top, which is kind of possible to the load lifters, but not ideal. This also positions the cord's cinch at center bottom where it could potentially dig into your back. Due to the good grip of the shock cord and overall streamlined fit, I'll use it with the clips attached at the bottom of the shoulder straps. While I have yet to use the cover in extreme conditions, it would have to be super windy to blow it off the Talon.

Tough Custard
I took this pack cover on the Long Trail and continued on down to Georgia on the Appalachian Trail. This was the perfect size for my set up. I kept my sleeping bag on top of my pack and under this cover, it was NEVER SOAKED like everyone else-maybe the slightest bit of damp at times. This cover is very decent! Any holes gained could be patched by some duct tape. Love it love it. Also if you're lazy you can keep it on at all times and use it as extra storage for a coat, hat, pant legs when you warm up. Thing lasted 1,869 miles and still has some life in it!

Another good quality Aqua Quest product
Another good quality Aqua Quest product. The medium size fits great on one of my 55l packs and is excellent for my army duffel/back pack, which was a nice surprise.
