I had been using one of the bags airlines give on long haul first class flights but I needed something bigger. Excellent quality zips and pulls on this - should last a long time.I like the 1 external, 2 internal zip pockets and supplied zip lock containers for separating stuff including items I won't use every day so I don't have to dump out everything to find my toothbrush. Water resistant helps contain spills if you leave a cap loose on something. It also makes it easy to wipe the outside clean - I find these get stuff on them sitting next to the sink in hotel rooms
